When renting a bike in Dubai, here are some things to keep in mind to ensure a safe cycling experience:
- Ensure your bike has a main headlight and a red rear light with a reflector
- Always ride on the right side of the road
- Do not ride on pedestrian sidewalks
- Maintain a speed limit of 30 km/h
- Only one person is allowed on the bike unless it's a tandem bike designed for two riders
- Wear a protective helmet at all times
- Keep both hands on the handlebars, except when signaling a turn
- Avoid traveling in a zigzag manner and refrain from excessive speeding or behavior that may endanger others
