About the brand and its main advantages
Hand-built and British style since 1926
One of the oldest British bicycle manufacturing companies, Pashley Cycles, was founded in 1926 in Yorkshire. To this day, the design and manual assembly of the original models of this brand, including tricycles, takes place here.
In 1926, William Rathbone Pashley opened the Pashley and Barber company in Birmingham, announcing that any type of bicycle would be produced under this brand, and these bicycles would be the best in Birmingham. The popularity of Pashley bicycles continues to this day.
Recently, there has been a resurgence of interest in classic Pashley models: the women's Princess, which features a low frame, a Brooks leather saddle and a real wicker basket, and the men's Roadster with a distinctive regal fit, which is provided by 28-inch wheels.
The key to the company's success
Despite the fact that the first Pashley bicycles were designed and put into production almost a hundred years ago, their modern counterparts are no different from their predecessors.
First of all, this concerns, of course, perfectly adjusted proportions and high quality of finished products. It is quite simple — all types of work are performed by qualified craftsmen exclusively manually.
The company's employees carefully monitor the observance of the smallest details of production, which allows them to achieve truly amazing results, the main one of which is the huge demand for the brand's products all over the world.
Marked by royalty
The Kingsman bike was released by the company in the style of the model on which His Highness Prince Charles opened the bike ride in support of the British Asian Foundation in 2021. The bike got its name from The King's Men, an acting theater troupe that William Shakespeare was a member of.
During its existence, Pashley had to contend with fierce competition from foreign companies seeking a contract to supply bicycles to the Royal Postal Service. However, the Pashley passed the one-year tests with flying colors, in which 180 bicycles from three different manufacturers took part, and the new Royal Mail vehicle was the Pashley MailStar model. In addition, Pashley cooperates with other postal companies, including foreign ones.
