In 2013, the creator Valentin Vaudev, an industrial designer and founder of the brand, developed the first sketches of the Vello bike in 2013. Accompanied by co-founder Valerie Wolf, an important milestone was reached in 2014 when the first Vello bike was introduced. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, mass production was launched.

The main advantages of Vello bicycles are the combination of innovative design, unique folding mechanism, light weight and high performance, which makes them ideal for urban residents.

As the first Viennese manufacturer of folding bicycles, Vello creates trending products that amaze with their patented innovations and designs. Prestigious design awards include the Red Dot Design Award, the European Product Design Award, and the Austrian State Design Award.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR ELECTRIC BICYCLES

KERS System Vello Bike+ electric models use kinetic energy recovery (KERS) technology similar to that used in racing cars. It allows you to charge the battery while braking or driving downhill, which significantly increases the power reserve.

The Vello Bike+ models are equipped with a compact and lightweight Zehus "The All in One" electric motor, which is fully integrated into the rear hub, while maintaining a minimalistic design.

Many Vello models are equipped with powerful disc brakes that ensure reliable and safe braking in all weather conditions.

THE PATENTED MECHANISM

Vello bikes are equipped with a unique, patented folding mechanism that allows you to fold the bike in a few seconds. Unlike most folding bikes, the Vello does not have a hinge in the center of the frame. Instead, the rear wheel folds under the frame, locking with a powerful magnet.

The absence of a central hinge makes the Vello frame more rigid and durable, which increases stability and dynamics during riding. It also reduces the risk of backlash over time.

When folded, the Vello bike becomes incredibly compact — 57 x 79 x 29 cm, which makes it easier to store and transport in public transport, office or apartment.
