Yep, same for me. "Dahon" badged groupset and tires. A good thing to give you peace of mind, though- I've been using mine almost daily for more than a year now with just the standard maintenance (keeping moving parts lubed and the tires inflated properly) and have never had a problem with shifting gears or flat tires. The only problem I encountered is a squeaky handlebar. I heard this is common with Dahon's telescopic handlepost, which is what the Mariner D8 has. Tightening the clamp quickly remedies this.

I purchased one in ~2018 and never really had issues. My main complaint was the telescoping handle post that would shift ever so slightly. With enough force the handlebars would no longer be perpendicular to the front wheel. Only noticeable if you stopped to check. Changed it for a fixed post and was much happier. I know some dahons come dahon rear derailleurs but mine came with shimano (altus I think). I’ve heard that’s something to look out for but don’t remember why. Hanger issue, idk? I recommend the mariner anyway
