Description
Aventon Current EXP is the more advanced version of the Current lineup, built for trail riding, climbs, descents, and long routes. Compared with the Current ADV, the EXP version features a carbon front triangle and a 6061 aluminum rear triangle, making the frame lighter and stiffer.
At the core of the bike is the Aventon Ultro X mid-drive motor. It delivers 110 Nm of torque, and up to 120 Nm in Boost Mode. This amount of power helps you climb steep sections with more confidence, move through technical terrain, and maintain control on challenging trails. With up to 400% assistance, and up to 500% in Boost Mode, the bike feels powerful while still preserving a natural pedaling experience.
The 800Wh battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 105 miles of range. This is especially important for eMTB riding: on trails, battery power is used not only on flat sections, but also for climbs, accelerations, motor support under load, and higher-assist riding modes. A full charge takes around 6 hours.
The Current EXP suspension is built around RockShox components: up front, it uses a RockShox Lyrik Select 150 mm fork, while the rear is equipped with a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ 210×55 shock. This is a serious trail-ready setup designed for traction, support, stability on descents, and confidence on rough terrain.
The EXP also comes with a higher component level than the ADV. It features SRAM Maven Base 4-piston hydraulic brakes, a SRAM S1000 Transmission 12-speed drivetrain, an electronic SRAM AXS Transmission Shift Pod, a SRAM XS-1270 T-Type 10–52T cassette, 29-inch tubeless compatible wheels, and Maxxis Minion DHF / DHR II tires. This makes the Current EXP not just a powerful e-bike, but a complete trail-focused machine with a strong component package.
