Description

The Woom 6 explore is a lightweight, versatile bike with 26-inch wheels designed for children from the age of 10 who want to confidently explore both urban streets and rough terrain. The lightweight and durable AA 6061 aluminum frame with buttressed tubes, lowered top tube and sporty geometry ensures a comfortable fit and dynamic handling. The bike is equipped with an 8-speed microSHIFT Acolyte transmission with an intuitive trigger switch that ensures smooth and precise gear shifting. Promax's reliable hydraulic disc brakes with 160/140 mm diameter rotors guarantee confident and safe braking in all weather conditions, and the ergonomic handles are adapted for children's hands. Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 26 × 2.0" tires have excellent grip and minimal rolling resistance, and reflective stripes on the sides enhance visibility in low-light conditions. Lightweight aluminum rims, bushings on industrial bearings, and double spoking ensure strength and durability, while the front wheel with an eccentric makes it easier to remove. An anatomical saddle created in collaboration with Selle Royal, a height-adjustable and outrigger, grips with comfort zones and an ABC adjustment system make it possible to perfectly adjust the bike to the height and riding style of the child. The weight of the bike is only 9.5 kg (without pedals). woom 6 EXPLORE is more than just transportation: it grows with the child, emphasizes his personality and inspires new discoveries.

Child-specific hand brakes

Learning to operate a rear brake as early as possible makes it easier for your child to use brakes on a pedal bike later on and can prevent them from having accidents. Our specially designed brake lever is easy to pull with small hands and requires little strength to bring the bike to a safe halt. This, along with the ergonomic grips, makes braking child's play.

Knee-friendly stem

Our stem ensures a safe and lightweight connection between the handlebars and the headset. Thanks to its sleek, rounded design and recessed clamp bolt, the stem is a trusty "knee saver".

Flexible steering limiter

Our specially developed steering limiter is a vital safety feature. It prevents the handlebars from overturning, which reduces the risk of accidents.

Ergonomically formed saddle

The saddle is one of the most important points of contact between the child and the bike. It significantly affects the feeling when riding. That's why our saddle is designed to be a perfect fit for the pelvis of children in this age group and optimized for an upright riding position. Its scooped design is engineered to provide continuous optimal support for your child. In short, these features make our saddle the ultimate all-rounder for every position – whether your child is sitting, standing or cruising at speed.

All-round capable tires

Tires have a major influence on how a bike handles. That's why we've chosen high-quality, lightweight and grippy tires with low rolling resistance for the woom ORIGINAL 1. This ensures smooth running and good grip whatever the terrain – whether paved, gravel or dirt roads. The reflective stripe on the tires' sidewall also ensures optimum visibility even in low-light conditions.
